About Us – Dave Shives, Vice President

David is a multi–dimensional graphics professional offering over 20 years experience in the digital imaging industry. His experience in design, project management, and print production has uniquely qualified him to be an advocate for the customer in the role as Vice President, Operations at PDI. He worked with Marie as the Color Program Manager at NGI and oversaw a $3 million dollar color operation for 5 major production centers throughout Florida and Georgia. In addition to production and program management, he was responsible for staff training, vendor relations, new product development and acquisition, and customer education programs. Dave has a broad perspective of the industry, a flexible approach and a devotion to perfection, ensuring deliverables of outstanding quality.

David is tenacious about maintaining an up–to–date knowledge base of new technologies and cutting edge equipment through solid vendor relationships. He not only subscribes to industry publications, but attends tradeshows and seminars that focus on the technologies that enhance the customer’s ability to translate their graphics message. Dave maintains current memberships with the Specialty Graphics Imaging Association, International Sign Association, and the National Association of Print Leaders.

Dave has lived in the Tampa Bay Community for over 30 years and is married with two sons. He is a volunteer little league coach and is very active in his community.
